Park Friends, Inc. was recently awarded a $10,000 from the State of Tennessee with enormous support and assistance from then-State Representative Mary Wilder and enthusiastically embraced by her successor State Representative Jeanne Richardson.  Representative Richardson represents the 89^th District in Shelby County.  The grant will be used to construct kiosks or information boards in Overton Park.  We are working closely with the Division of Parks Services to identify an appropriate design and locations.  This project will provide much needed information to Overton Park visitors on activities and rules within the Park and those events sponsored by the four tenants residing in the Park.  Call or e-mail us if you have questions or suggestions.
